Search Engine Marketing Campaigns

So often we hear Internet marketers speak of number of visitors driven to a website when they are measuring the effectiveness of an advertising campaign. We now know through countless promotional effectiveness reports that the number of visitors sent to a website is much less important than how these visitors act once they arrive.

Today, more than 80% of all Internet users start their research for a particular service or product on search engines such as Google or Yahoo!. Because these users are action oriented and most often ready to make decisions, search engines have become an important part of a company's marketing campaign. Due to the limited premium space available on search engines, making a splash on these properties can be extremely difficult.
